Using solid-state IGBT PWM conversion technology, each system converts incoming AC power to DC, then generates a controlled AC output at the required power frequency. 50 Hz and 60 Hz conversion
Converts between 50 Hz and 60 Hz three-phase supply frequencies for machinery, production equipment and specialist electrical systems. The output frequency remains stable and is independent of the connected load.

Industrial load support
Suitable for larger inductive and resistive loads, including unbalanced loads, motors, pumps, compressors and HVAC equipment.

Soft-start capability
Controlled soft-start functionality gradually applies the output supply, helping to reduce load inrush current and minimise electrical and mechanical stress during start-up.

IGBT PWM technology

Harmonic mitigation strategy
Optional 12-pulse and 18-pulse rectifier technology improves the input current waveshape, bringing it closer to a sine wave and effectively cancelling dominant lower-order harmonics. This reduces input current harmonic distortion, improves compatibility with the incoming supply and supports better overall power quality.

Transformer isolation
Output isolation provides electrical separation between the incoming supply and connected equipment, while supporting cleaner and more stable power delivery.

PXe-330000-C configurations:

PXe three phase static frequency converters can be configured to suit a wide range of input supplies, output frequencies, installation formats and control requirements. Systems are available for standard 50Hz and 60Hz conversion duties, with 400Hz output options for aircraft or specialist equipment power requirements.

The range covers output ratings from 1kVA to 500kVA, allowing systems to be specified for small test loads, production equipment, larger machinery, and higher-power operational loads. Input and output voltages can be matched to the site supply and connected equipment, helping customers operate machinery or test products under the correct electrical conditions.

Each converter is built around solid-state IGBT PWM conversion with sine-wave AC output and integrated transformer isolation. This supports electrical separation between input and output, while helping reduce noise and improve compatibility with connected equipment.

Operators can monitor key values from the front panel, including voltage, current, frequency and system status. Protection functions are built into the system to respond to abnormal operating conditions such as overload, short circuit, over-temperature and phase loss.

Depending on the project, units can be supplied as rack-mounted, floor-standing or mobile enclosure systems. Remote monitoring and communication interfaces, including RS-232, RS-485 and Ethernet, are available where integration with wider control or test systems is required.
